Firearms Application Form
Please read the following information before continuing on:
After downloading, print the first page only of the application and then place the printed page back into your printer to print the second page on the back side of the first page. If you are unfamiliar with how to do this, consult the manual that came with your printer.
There is only one form for all types of firearms licenses. After printing the form, check off which type of license you are applying for from the choices at the top of the form and proceed to fill out the front and back of the form.
After completing the form, please call the Southampton Police Department at (413) 527-1120 to set up an appointment to have your application processed. We do not process applications on a walk in basis.
The fees for all permits and FID's (except Class D chemical spray which is $25.00) are $100.00 and expire on your birthday every six (6) years. If you are 70 years old or older, the LTC/FID is free for renewals.
If you would like to have your check or money order made out in advance, make the check out to the Town of Southampton. No cash will be accepted.
After you complete the application process, the information is forwarded to the State Police Crime Lab for processing. We usually get their response within 30-45 days, at which time the police department will call you and let you know that your firearms license is ready.
